Assistant Infant Teacher

Location: NRH Montessori – Licensed Montessori Childcare Center
Age Group: Infants (3 to 18 months)
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 hours (includes one-hour lunch)

NRH Montessori is a licensed childcare center committed to creating a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children using the Montessori approach. We are currently looking for a compassionate and dependable Assistant Infant Teacher to join our team and help provide exceptional care to our youngest learners.

Position Overview:
As an Assistant Infant Teacher, you’ll support the Lead Infant Teacher in providing attentive care and developmentally appropriate activities for infants aged 3 to 18 months. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a calm, safe, and supportive space where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily routines including feeding, diapering, and naptime
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
• Support age-appropriate learning activities and play
• Observe and report on children’s development and needs to the lead teacher
• Foster a warm, respectful, and caring atmosphere in line with Montessori values
• Communicate positively with parents, staff, and children

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Experience working with infants (at least 6 months preferred)
• Familiarity with the Montessori method is a plus
• Reliable, nurturing, and team-oriented
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must pass a background check
