Job Summary:

The Assistant Infrastructure Architect supports the planning, coordination and delivery of IT infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Copilot, Server, Storage, Backup, DR, Network, Data Center and Security. This role works closely with internal & external teams, business stakeholders and vendors to track project progress, manage risks and support successful implementation and service delivery.

The ideal candidate has experience in IT project coordination, cloud technologies and Microsoft platforms, hardware platforms with strong communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors and external service providers
• Track project schedules, deliverables, risks, issues, budgets and action items
• Prepare project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, technical documents and management updates
• Support the implementation and administration of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 solutions
• Assist with solution design, technical evaluation, cost estimation and architecture documentation
• Coordinate infrastructure projects involving servers, storage, backup, networking, security and cloud services
• Identify project risks and escalate critical issues to management in a timely manner
• Work with regional IT teams to support global or multi-site technology initiatives
• Perform other IT project coordination and technical support duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
• Relevant experience in IT project coordination, infrastructure support, cloud services or system administration
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services
• Basic understanding of cloud architecture, networking, cybersecurity, identity management, backup and disaster recovery
• Experience coordinating IT vendors, service providers and cross-functional teams
• Good understanding of project management and IT service management processes
• Ability to prepare clear project documentation, technical summaries, status reports and presentations
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Willingness to learn new technologies and develop technical architecture capabilities

Experience:

• At least 10 years of relevant IT experience, including project coordination, infrastructure, cloud or Microsoft platform support

• Hands-on or project experience with one or more of the following:

  • Microsoft Azure, M365, Entra ID, Intune, Copilot, AD
  • Server, Storage, Backup, VM, DR
  • Network Switch, Router / Firewall / Load balancer / MPLS
  • Security solutions, Cert, WAF, CDN

• Experience supporting the full project life cycle including requirements gathering, planning, implementation, testing, deployment and handover

• Experience in solution design, technical architecture or infrastructure planning

• Proven ability to coordinate teams, business units and external vendors

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Microsoft certifications such as:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate

• Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or CAPM

• Network certification such as CCNP

• VMWare VCP

• IT service management certifications such as the ITIL Foundation

• Experience with Azure cost management, backup solutions, monitoring, security or cloud migration projects

• Experience working in a regional or multinational IT environment

• Knowledge of Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot or automation technologies is an advantage

• Fluent in English (written and spoken and presentation)
