Assistant IT Manager

About the role

To oversee the Group's IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity and business systems, including SAP, while supporting AI automation and digitalisation initiatives to improve operational efficiency across all companies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily IT operations and maintain reliable IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, internet, Wi-Fi, firewalls and backup systems across the Group.
• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, security controls and disaster recovery arrangements.
• Ensure proper cybersecurity, data protection, user access management and system security.
• Manage the Group's IT infrastructure and work closely with the automation team to integrate AI-driven automation solutions with existing IT infrastructure and business systems, ensuring proper system integration, data management and cybersecurity.
• Coordinate with SAP vendors and business users to resolve system issues, implement enhancements and improve system performance.
• Oversee other business applications and support system integration where required.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual processes and enhance operational efficiency through technology.
• Manage IT budgets, assets, vendors and external service providers.
• Supervise the IT team and ensure timely resolution of technical issues and user support requests.
• Prepare IT reports and recommend improvements to strengthen system reliability, security and cost efficiency.

About you

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any IT related field.
• Relevant experience in IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity and business systems management.
• Experience in SAP support or coordination will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of AI integration, Microsoft 365, Power Automate, system integration or process automation is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, project management and vendor management skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with different departments across multiple companies.
• Able to work independently, manage priorities and lead an IT team.
• Willing to be located at Telok Panglima Garang.
