Assistant Kitchen Manager

The Assistant Kitchen Manager supports daily gummy and confectionery production operations, helping ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role assists with team leadership, production scheduling, food safety compliance, staff training, and continuous improvement efforts while providing operational support across shifts as production needs require.

Key Responsibilities

• Support production scheduling and help ensure production targets are met.
• Assist with inventory management, raw material tracking, and supply coordination.
• Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and operational reports.
• Support employee scheduling, onboarding, and training
• Serve as acting Kitchen Manager during manager absences and provide leadership support across shifts, including 2nd shift as production needs require.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of food manufacturing, confectionery, or commercial kitchen experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (additional compensation available).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Schedule Requirements

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, and 2nd shift as production needs require.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.

Preferences

• Experience in confectionery or gummy manufacturing.
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) – preferred and compensated.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
