Assistant Kitchen Manager

Romeo’s Pizzeria & Mediterranean Kitchen is a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant proudly serving IUP and the Indiana, PA community since 1989. We are looking for an Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team and become an important part of our kitchen leadership.

Responsibilities

• Learn and become proficient in all kitchen positions and stations
• Help lead and supervise kitchen staff during shifts
• Assist with hiring, training, and developing team members
• Maintain food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and safety standards
• Help ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations during high-volume periods
• Support the Kitchen Manager and management team with daily operations
• Lead by example and help create a positive, team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a pizza cook, line cook, or similar kitchen position
• Culinary experience or education is preferred
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be willing to learn all kitchen positions and take on increasing leadership responsibilities

Pay: $28,000.00 - $31,200.00 per year
