Assistant lead maintenance tech

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves supporting the maintenance operations within a multifamily housing community, ensuring that all property systems are functioning efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and ready to take on leadership responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Must be prepared to work on call nights and weekends, with a focus on maintaining high standards of property upkeep and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead maintenance technician in performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks across the property.
• Conduct repairs and troubleshooting for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and other building systems.
• Support in managing maintenance schedules and ensuring timely completion of work orders.
• Work on call nights and weekends as required to address urgent maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of tools and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Utilize own tools to perform various repair tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize work orders and improve overall property operations.

Qualifications

• Must have EPA certification.
• Valid driver’s license is required for travel between properties or emergency response.
• HVAC repair and installation skills
• Own tools necessary for multifamily maintenance work.
• Minimum of three years’ experience working in multifamily property maintenance or a similar setting.
• Ability to work on call nights and weekends as needed.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards residents and team members.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
