ASSISTANT LOGISTIC

About the role

Vicente T. Lao Construction is seeking an Assistant Logistic to join our warehousing, storage and distribution team. This is a full-time position based in Davao City, Davao del Sur. As an Assistant Logistic, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution network, ensuring materials, equipment and goods are efficiently managed and delivered. This position is integral to maintaining our operational excellence and supporting the construction and logistics requirements of our business.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting in the receipt, inspection and organisation of incoming and outgoing shipments and materials
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular stock checks to ensure accuracy and availability
• Coordinating with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and handling of materials in accordance with safety standards
• Supporting the preparation of shipping documentation and ensuring compliance with logistics requirements
• Monitoring warehouse operations and identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and organisation
• Assisting in the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout warehouse and storage areas
• Supporting the logistics coordinator or manager with administrative tasks, reporting and data entry
• Liaising with drivers, suppliers and other stakeholders to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve logistical issues

What we're looking for

• College graduate Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
• Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, distribution or a similar role is preferred
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and basic computer skills
• Commitment to safety protocols and health and safety regulations
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing warehouse demands and priorities
