Assistant Logistic Manager

Strategically plan and manage Logistics and Warehouse functions, including maintaining the Company's Manufacturing and Warehouse Licenses and all related permits for import/export, controlled chemicals, waste disposal and courier service activities.

Prepare, maintain and submit all required legal documents to relevant government authorities including Customs, Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Domestic Trade, Department of Environment, Ministry of Health, Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing etc.  Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and statutory requirements.

Ensure compliance with customs regulations, domestic and international trade requirements for import and export shipments to facilitate smooth customs clearance and ensure on-time delivery to customers.

Negotiate and monitor rates and service performance of inland transport providers, licensed waste collectors and courier service providers to achieve cost effective, efficient and reliable logistics operations including shipping mode and route optimization.

Ensure that all hazardous and non-hazardous factory waste are collected and disposed of by licensed waste management companies in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Plan and optimize people, processes and system resources to achieve operational objectives, execute action plans and meet departmental KPIs.

Supervise daily warehouse operations including warehouse space utilization, inventory control, timely and accurate material supply to Production, export shipment storage and container loading/unloading activities.

Identify, manage and resolve any issues that arise while continuously driving improvements to achieve best practices in daily operations and prevent customer complaints.

Work closely with Sales, PMC, Production, and QA as well as external parties such as customs brokers, shipping agents, port authorities, customs etc to ensure shipments meet customers' target delivery dates.

Foster a safe workplace culture for employees working in Logistics and Warehouse areas by complying with all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and regulations.

Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, values and applicable laws including interviewing, training, workforce planning, problem-solving, performance management, and maintaining a 6S culture.
