Assistant Maintenance Engineer (Security Systems)

Key Responsibilities

Security System Installation & Maintenance

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot security systems, including:

  • CCTV Surveillance Systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • Intercom Systems
  • Visitor Management Systems

• Diagnose and resolve system faults, ensuring optimal system performance and minimal downtime.

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with service standards and customer requirements.

Network Design & Technical Support

• Design and develop network architectures and system topology diagrams for security system deployments.
• Configure and troubleshoot network-related issues involving IP-based security systems.
• Ensure system designs are scalable, secure, and aligned with project requirements.

On-Call Support

• Participate in 24/7 standby and emergency support duties as assigned.
• Respond promptly to service requests, system faults, and critical incidents.
• Prepare maintenance reports and document troubleshooting activities.

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and technicians to achieve operational objectives.
• Manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and project deadlines.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to enhancing service quality and operational efficiency.
• Stay updated with emerging security technologies, industry standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in security systems, ELV systems, or a related technical environment.
• Hands-on experience with CCTV, Access Control, Intercom, and IP-based security systems is preferred.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, and routers.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and network diagrams.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and participate in standby support duties.
