Assistant Maintenance Manager

• Based in property and reports to Chief Engineer

• Assist in maintenance of the building, plumbing & sanitary, fire protection, security, mechanical and electrical systems of the property.

• Lead, manage, train and guide a team of technicians and vendors/contractors including property orientation for new hires.

• Inspecting maintenance work and hands-on for troubleshooting and repairs

• Respond, resolve and close rectification request cases within timeline.

• Assist in evacuation in the event of emergencies, follow emergency response plans and relevant safety procedures.

• Assist in administering and updating maintenance data/record including technicians’ roster planning and asset/inventory registration.

• Assist on getting quotation for management’s approval.

• May require to perform AI-powered workplace productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or other approved AI applications).

• May require to undergo digital transformation by process improvement and the adoption of technology to enhance business performance.

• Perform related ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

• Participate in company's sustainability effort for the environment and being an inclusive employer.

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 3 years of relevant supervisory work experience in hotel engineering team
• Min. Diploma / ITE in Electrical & Mechanical engineering
• Well-versed in building and M&E code of practices.
• Able to read building, plumbing & sanitary, fire-protection, mechanical and electrical plans.
• Experience and knowledge of building, plumbing & sanitary, mechanical HVAC and electrical (M&E) maintenance related technical skills.
• Fire Safety Manager certification preferred.
• Must have sense of urgency.
• Able to work in rotating shift environment.
• A team player and the ability to work during weekends and on public holidays.
• Experience using AI-powered workplace productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or other approved AI applications) as an added advantage.
• Demonstrate interest in digital transformation, process improvement and the adoption of technology to enhance business performance as an added advantage
