We're working with an established manufacturing company based in Hendersonville, NC. They are recruiting an Assistant Maintenance Manager to join their team on the day shift in return for $100,000 – $115,000 per year along with an excellent employment benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations, equipment reliability and plant performance.
• Lead, train and develop maintenance supervisors and technicians, improving technical capabilities across the department.
• Manage external contractors, vendors and service providers for equipment repairs, installations and specialist maintenance.
• Oversee maintenance activities across aseptic processing and Tetra Pak filling and packaging equipment.
• Source machinery parts, manage spare parts inventory and coordinate purchasing with suppliers.
• Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase equipment reliability.
• Provide advanced electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting support.
• Lead root cause analysis, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
• Support maintenance budgets, repair costs, capital expenditure and equipment replacement planning.
• Manage maintenance KPIs, technician performance, contractor schedules and equipment reliability targets.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager within food or beverage manufacturing.
• Must have experience maintaining aseptic processing and packaging equipment.
• Must have hands-on experience with Tetra Pak machinery and systems.
• Proven experience training, mentoring and developing maintenance technicians.
• Experience managing external contractors, equipment suppliers and maintenance service providers.
• Strong knowledge of spare parts sourcing, inventory management and maintenance purchasing.
• Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience with automated manufacturing machinery.
