Assistant Maintenance Manager - Printing Press

Assistant Maintenance Manager The Assistant Maintenance Manager reports to the Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities include electrical, mechanical and electronics repairs on all of our machinery and equipment. Responsibilities also include maintenance of our buildings

Duties And Responsibilities Include

• Servicing the ink and wash up systems on the printing presses
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting of servo drives and PLC's
• Becoming proficient in the set up and operation of all bag machines
• Electromechanical troubleshooting of all plant machinery and equipment
• Performing mechanical and electrical upgrades on machines
• Reading and interpreting electrical and pneumatic schematics
• Assisting Converting Manager and Shift Leads in accident investigations and helping to make improvements to prevent accidents and performing PM tasks
• Helping to create PM schedules for all machines
• Repairing mandrels and rack in and out systems on printing presses
• Repairing unwind/rewind drives and slicing systems on printing presses
• Changing bearings on all machinery and equipment
• Maintaining and tracking an accurate inventory of spare parts
• Directing contractors in the plant and overseeing them on projects
• Being on call and coming in to work on off hours when breakdowns occur
• Developing processes and procedures to improve and safety

Project Management

• installing new equipment, upgrading existing equipment, and relocating existing equipment
• Maintenance and repair of plant support equipment, including air compressors, chillers, HVAC and oxidizers)
• Acquiring parts from various vendors at best pricing and delivery
• Performing other assigned tasks as required
