Assistant Manager - Accounts Payable

Function: Accounts Payable / Audit / Finance Controls

Role Focus

End-to-end AP operations, Team management, Operational efficiency and compliance

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end AP transaction processing including invoices and payments
• Allocate work, monitor daily productivity, and manage team deliverables
• Track SLAs, turnaround time, backlog, and error rates
• Review reconciliations and resolve aged open items
• Act as escalation point for complex vendor and process issues
• Drive process discipline and continuous improvement
• Coordinate with business, procurement, and finance stakeholders

Required Skills

• Advanced Excel (Mandatory): Power Query, Pivot, Xlookup, Sumifs/Countifs, dashboarding
• Strong end-to-end AP operations and vendor reconcillations
• Hands-on experience with SAP AP module
• Working knowledge of GST and TDS in AP
• Strong team handling and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage high-volume AP environments
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and structured working style

Candidate Profile

• Qualified CA with 24 years of experience in: AP operations, shared services, or in-house finance teams
• Candidate with audit background is preferred
• Knowledge of end to end AP process
• Proven experience in managing teams and operational SLAs
• Ability to balance control requirements with operational delivery
• Preferred Ability to interact confidently with auditors and senior stakeholders
