Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bakery cafe operations, including food preparation, cooking, and service delivery to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
• Lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance team skills in food handling, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and customer service excellence.
• Manage inventory control, including stock ordering, storage, and waste reduction strategies to optimize profitability.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, POS transactions, and daily financial reconciliation with accuracy and integrity.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety management across all areas.
• Support shift management by coordinating schedules, supervising staff performance, and addressing operational challenges promptly.
• Conduct staff interviews, onboarding, and performance evaluations to build a motivated and skilled team.
• Analyze profit and loss reports to identify opportunities for growth and cost savings while maintaining excellent service quality.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in hospitality management practices.

Experience

• Proven assistant manager or supervisory experience within the food industry, particularly in bakery cafes or quick service & fast food restaurants.
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking processes, and food safety standards.
• Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for transactions and reporting.
• Strong background in inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis within a hospitality setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through training, coaching, and performance management.
• Familiarity with managing hospitality teams in casual dining or bakery environments with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Experience in managing shift operations, supervising staff performance, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing, staff training, and customer interactions.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
