Assistant Manager-CAM Programmer

Position: Assistant Manager-CAM Programmer

Department: Tool room / Mould Manufacturing

Experience: 8-10Years
Qualification: Diploma Tool & Die Making, or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

A. CAM Programming:

• Develop CAM programs for VMC and milling machines using Edge Cam and MasterCam
• Program complex mould components, including cores, cavities, inserts, neck rings, and other precision components.
• Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity, tool life, and surface finish.
• Interpret 2D engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and dimensional tolerances.
• Import and process CAD models using CAM software.
• Reduce machining cycle time through optimized Process.
• Coordinate with design, planning, tool room, and production teams to meet project deadlines and timely completion of mould manufacturing and development projects
• First-time-right machining and rejection Control
• Ensure components meet specified dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements.
• Coordinate with the quality team for inspection and measurement of machined components.

B. Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with CAM programming for VMC machines.
• Proficiency in CAM software: Power Mill and Edge Cam
• Strong understanding of VMC machining operations, cutting tools, and machining parameters.
• Understanding of mould design, and precision machining.

C. Preferred Experience

• Experience in plastic injection mould manufacturing.
• Experience of PET preform injection mould manufacturing.
• Experience ISBM moulds, blow moulds, caps and closures moulds and precision inserts.

D. Personal Competencies
