Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling.
• Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Conduct employee orientation, onboarding, training, and ongoing development to foster a skilled and engaged team.
• Oversee merchandising, stock replenishment, pricing strategies, and inventory management to maximize sales opportunities.
• Manage shift schedules, ensure proper cashiering procedures, and handle POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently.
• Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and selecting qualified personnel.
• Maintain operational compliance with company policies, manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and budget adherence.

Skills

• Strong leadership abilities with previous supervisory or assistant manager experience in retail or related industries.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage managerial conversations effectively.
• Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for cash handling and sales calculations.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
• Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, customer service excellence, and retail sales strategies.
• Knowledge of retail industry sales team management, merchandising, pricing, and operational management practices.
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently with strong organizational skills and time management capabilities.

Pay: $4,965.00 - $5,274.00 per month
