Assistant Manager – Ice Cream Shop

About Us

Karma Kreamery is a small-batch ice cream shop in Tracy bringing bold Afghan, Desi, and Middle Eastern-inspired flavors to the community. We're looking for a dependable Assistant Manager to help lead our team and keep the shop running smoothly.

About the Role

We need someone we can trust to run the shop when the owner isn't on-site. You'll be the go-to person for day-to-day operations — leading the team, keeping things organized, and making sure every customer has a great experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop operations in the owner's absence

• Manage, motivate, and delegate tasks to shop employees

• Create and manage employee schedules

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels; place or flag restock needs

• Provide excellent face-to-face customer service

• Handle cleaning and ensure the shop meets health and sanitation standards

• Troubleshoot day-to-day issues and make sound decisions on the fly

• Report directly to ownership on shop performance and issues

Qualifications

• Required: Prior experience in a management or supervisory role

• Highly recommended: Fluent in Farsi, Hindi, or Urdu

• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Fast learner, able to pick up new systems and processes quickly

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Comfortable delegating and holding team members accountable

• Willing to jump in and clean, restock, or help wherever needed

• Reliable transportation and availability across weekdays/weekends
