Assistant Manager

Job Summary

Taste Asian Fusion Bistro is looking for a dependable and experienced Assistant Manager to support daily restaurant operations, lead team members, maintain service standards, and provide an excellent guest experience. The ideal candidate should be organized, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with daily restaurant operations.
• Supervise and support front-of-house and kitchen team members.
• Help create staff schedules and coordinate shift coverage.
• Train new employees on restaurant procedures and service standards.
• Monitor food quality, customer service, cleanliness, and safety.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and service issues professionally.
• Assist with cash handling, POS operations, and daily sales procedures.
• Monitor inventory and help maintain adequate food and supply levels.
• Coordinate communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed.
• Help control labor, food, and operating costs.
• Support the restaurant team during busy shifts.
• Communicate operational issues and shift updates to management.
• Help maintain a positive and professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or food-service experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate employees.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of POS, cash handling, scheduling, and inventory.
• Ability to multitask in a busy restaurant environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
