  • Worcester

Please visit www.discobowl.co.uk to view our locations and tell us in your covering letter which venue or venues you could realistically work at.

About Disco Bowl

Disco Bowl is much more than a traditional bowling business. Our venues bring together bowling, arcades, bars, food and attractions including Scrapyard Golf, karaoke and Laser Quest.

We are an ambitious independent company that continues to grow and invest in its venues. Being independent means that good people are noticed, managers can have a genuine influence and strong ideas do not get lost in layers of corporate approval.

We have an open and transparent culture. We communicate honestly, expect high standards and treat our team members as individuals. We want managers who will take responsibility and deliver results, but we also make sure they receive the support, trust and development they need to succeed.

The Role

These are hands-on management positions within busy leisure venues.

You will support the General Manager with the day-to-day operation, lead the team on shift and help maintain strong standards across customer service, team performance, safety and commercial results.

Depending on your experience and the level of role, your responsibilities may include:

  • Leading shifts and maintaining consistent operational standards
  • Supporting, coaching and developing the venue team
  • Delivering a welcoming and memorable customer experience
  • Handling customer concerns confidently and professionally
  • Supporting recruitment, induction, training and performance management
  • Managing cash, banking, stock and opening and closing procedures
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and well-run venue
  • Helping to control costs and improve commercial performance
  • Supporting local marketing and community engagement
  • Taking responsibility for the venue in the General Manager’s absence

What We’re Looking For

We would like to hear from people who have:

  • Management or supervisory experience within hospitality, leisure, retail or another busy customer-facing environment
  • A practical, hands-on management style
  • Strong communication and people-management skills
  • The confidence to make decisions and take responsibility
  • Good organisation and attention to detail
  • Experience of cash handling, stock control and opening or closing a venue
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of what drives a successful operation
  • The ability to remain calm and effective when it is busy
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required

A personal licence would be an advantage, although we can support the right person in working towards one.

What We Offer

  • Competitive basic salary with an attractive, achievable OTE through our performance-related bonus scheme
  • Company pension
  • Employee discounts and staff perks
  • Free bowling
  • Training and development
  • Support towards relevant licences and qualifications
  • Genuine opportunities to progress as the group grows
  • An open and transparent working culture
  • A company that recognises contribution and treats people as individuals
