Assistant Manager

Role Description The Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at a Freshslice Pizza location in Hamilton, ON. In this position, the individual supports daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, monitoring food quality, and ensuring compliance with company standards. Responsibilities include supervising team members, supporting training and coaching, managing shift schedules, and promoting a positive, inclusive work environment. The Assistant Manager helps maintain inventory levels, oversees cash handling and point-of-sale activities, and assists with local marketing initiatives to drive sales. This role also focuses on delivering outstanding guest service, addressing guest concerns promptly, and supporting the Store Manager in meeting performance and profitability targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or retail operations, with skills in team supervision, shift management, and day-to-day store coordination.
• Customer service skills, including strong interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Basic business and administrative skills, such as cash handling, point-of-sale systems, inventory monitoring, and adherence to company policies.
• Operational skills related to food safety, cleanliness, and quality control in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work on-site in Hamilton, ON, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Leadership qualities, including reliability, accountability, and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in quick-service restaurants or hospitality is an asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, hospitality, or related fields is an advantage.
