Assistant Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. This position requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff to achieve store goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage cash handling processes, including cash register operations and daily reconciliations.
• Train, mentor, and supervise staff to foster a positive work environment and enhance team performance.
• Engage with customers to provide outstanding service, resolve issues, and promote a welcoming atmosphere.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager in inventory management, including stock ordering and loss prevention strategies.
• Conduct regular store inspections to maintain cleanliness and organization standards.
• Utilize effective negotiation skills to manage vendor relationships and optimize product offerings.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail management or as a clerk is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in cash handling procedures and experience operating cash registers.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clientele.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution is essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
