Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager to join our retail team and drive operational excellence. Duties

• Assist the store manager in supervising daily store activities, including opening and closing procedures
• Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities
• Oversee cashiering operations, including cash handling, POS system management, and pricing accuracy
• Conduct employee orientation, training, and development programs to enhance team performance
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high satisfaction levels
• Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new staff members
• Coordinate purchasing activities and manage supplier relationships to maintain optimal stock levels
• Implement operational policies and procedures aligned with company standards
• Assist in budgeting, sales management, and operational planning to meet business goals

Experience

• Proven experience as an assistant manager or in a supervisory role within the retail industry
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of managing retail sales teams effectively
• Strong knowledge of retail operations including inventory management, POS systems, and merchandising
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable
• Experience with employee recruitment, training & development, payroll processing, and bookkeeping
• Skilled in negotiation, customer service excellence, and conflict resolution
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with strong organizational skills and time management abilities
• Familiarity with retail math, pricing strategies, budgeting processes, and operational management principles
• Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced retail environment is preferred
