Assistant Manager

Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced, reliable Assistant Manager who is also fully cellar trained to join our friendly team at our traditional country pub.

This is a hands on job role that would suit someone, who takes pride in real ales, who can complete the following responsibilities to the highest standards while helping deliver an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning and cover for the manager in their absence
• Assist in leading, motivating, and supervising team members to meet sales goals and deliver excellent customer service
• Maintaining the cellar to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation
• Receiving, storing and rotating stock correctly
• Managing cask ales, keg beers, ciders and other beverages to ensure prefect quality
• Line cleaning and cellar hygiene in line with industry best practice
• Monitoring stock levels and reducing wastage
• Ensure all cellar health and safety procedures are followed

Requirements

• Fully cellar trained with proven experience in cellar management
• Excellent knowledge of cask ales and draught beer qulity standards
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently
• A positive attitude with strong attention to detail
• Flexible and willing to be part of a hardworking team
• Previous experince in management within a busy pub environment is essential
