Job Summary:

As an Assistant Manager, you will support the Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience, and managing staff effectively. This role involves a mix of hands-on work, team leadership, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.

• Supervise and support staff, ensuring high standards of customer service and performance.

• Oversee scheduling, training, and development of employees.

• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and ensure swift resolution of any issues.

• Maintain inventory levels and place orders to ensure the café is fully stocked.

• Assist with administrative duties such as payroll, reporting, and staff performance evaluations.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety standards.

• Lead by example by engaging with customers and assisting staff as needed during peak times.

• Work with the General Manager to achieve financial goals and ensure efficient cost management.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during busy periods.

• Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
