Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team to achieve sales goals. The Assistant Manager will assist in various functions including inventory management, employee training, and operational budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily store operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
• Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and development.
• Oversee inventory control and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
• Implement effective employee orientation programs and conduct interviews for new hires.
• Manage payroll processes and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and courtesy.
• Utilize POS systems for transactions while ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
• Monitor sales performance, analyze retail math metrics, and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with the management team on purchasing decisions and pricing strategies.
• Maintain compliance with company policies while promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

Experience

• Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar supervisory role within retail or grocery environments.
• Strong background in customer service with excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures, inventory management, and merchandising techniques.
• Demonstrated ability in recruiting, training & development of staff members.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus to enhance customer interactions.
• Proficient in time management, organizational skills, and administrative tasks related to store operations.
