Assistant Manager – The Boathouse at Boulters Lock Location: Maidenhead Pay: Average annual earnings of up to £37,000, including service charge We’re looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on Assistant Manager to join our team at The Boathouse at Boulters Lock, a busy riverside pub in Maidenhead. You’ll work closely with the management team to deliver excellent guest experiences, support and develop our front of house team, and ensure the pub runs smoothly throughout each shift. What you’ll be doing Leading busy shifts across the floor and bar. Supporting, coaching and motivating the team. Making guests feel welcome and handling feedback professionally. Maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness and presentation. Supporting bookings, events and private functions. Taking responsibility for opening, closing and cash-up procedures. Helping manage staffing, stock and costs. Maintaining food safety, allergen and licensing standards. What we’re looking for Experience as an Assistant Manager or a strong Supervisor ready for the next step. Experience in a busy pub, restaurant or similar hospitality setting. A confident, approachable leadership style. A genuine interest in food, drink and guest service. Good organisation and the ability to stay calm under pressure. A hands-on approach and willingness to support the team wherever needed. Availability to work evenings and weekends. What we offer Average annual earnings of up to £37,000, including service charge.
