What they need
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement controls.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, maintain records, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Coordinate emergency response plans, fire drills, and employee safety training.
- Oversee PPE, safety equipment, hazardous waste management, and environmental monitoring.Requirements
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health and Safety.
- Minimum 5 years of EHS experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or chemical plant.
- Additional qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma, OSHA certification, or IOSH membership (TechIOSH/GradIOSH).
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. Relevant Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
