We are seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play an important role in supporting the General Manager in daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of employees. Assistant Manager

Location:

Elgin Mills Cinemas, Richmond Hill ON

Position Description:

The key responsibilities of an Assistant Manager are:

· Leading and managing a dedicated team of employees by promoting a positive work environment

· Providing an exceptional customer experience, including addressing any customer inquiries and/or issues promptly

· Handling cash and generating daily and weekly reports

· Assisting with recruiting and onboarding of employees

· Ensuring that all employees are adhering to proper health and safety guidelines

· Assisting with creating staff schedules and adjusting film schedules

· Assisting with managing digital film including ingesting movies, creating playlists etc.

· Assisting with inventory management

· Dealing with any technical difficulties that may arise

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (oral & written)

· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills (both customer and technical)

· Excellent customer service skills

· Ability to multi-task; manage and prioritize tasks and activities effectively and efficiently

· Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a management team

· Cash handling experience necessary

· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Drive

· Experience with a Library Management System (LMS) and Point of Sale (POS) software an asset

Required Experience:

· 2-3 years in a management position in a fast-food, restaurant, retail or similar environment

Preferred Education:

· College Diploma in Business or related field

Job Type:

· Permanent, full-time, salary

MUST be able to work flexible hours every week, including late nights, weekends and holidays.
