Assistant Manager

Kakadu Crocodile Hotel is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team and help deliver an exceptional experience for guests visiting one of Australia’s most iconic destinations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys a hands-on role, thrives in a busy environment and is passionate about providing outstanding customer service.

About the role

Working closely with the Hotel Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring high standards of guest service, presentation and operational efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the daily management of hotel operations
• Leading, supporting and motivating staff across departments
• Delivering exceptional guest service and resolving guest enquiries or concerns
• Assisting with front office, reservations and guest services
• Monitoring housekeeping and property presentation standards
• Supporting staff training, rostering and performance
• Assisting with stock control, ordering and operational administration
• Ensuring workplace health, safety and compliance standards are maintained
• Acting as Manager on Duty when required
• Working collaboratively with management and the wider hotel team

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in hotel or hospitality management
• Is confident leading and motivating a team
• Has excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Is organised, practical and able to work under pressure
• Can confidently deal with guest issues and operational challenges
• Has a positive, hands-on approach to hospitality
• Is flexible and willing to work weekends, public holidays and varying shifts
• Enjoys working in a remote and unique tourism environment

Experience in a regional or remote hotel environment will be highly regarded.
