ASSISTANT MANAGER

Duties & Responsiblities

• Open and close the store according to established procedures; complete shift checklists; monitor store conditions; and ensure equipment, fuel pumps, food-service areas, and point-of-sale systems are operating properly.
• Direct employees during assigned shifts, delegate tasks, monitor performance, provide on-the-job coaching, and help maintain adequate staffing and break coverage.
• Receive and verify deliveries, stock and rotate products, check expiration dates, maintain displays and pricing.
• Follow required procedures for food preparation, temperature checks, sanitation, product rotation, and cleaning; ensure employees comply with applicable food-safety standards.
• Maintain clean, organized, and customer-ready sales areas, restrooms, parking areas, fuel islands, storage spaces, and employee work areas.
• Assist with schedules, shift reports, training records, vendor communication, invoices, maintenance requests, and other required store documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as shift/crew leader or 1 year as assistant manager

• Experience managing other employees
• Experience receiving merchandise
• Experience reconciling daily paperwork/reports
• Experience creating and placing merchandise orders

Rate of Pay

• $16.00/hour

Schedule

• 35 to 40 hours/week
