Assistant Manager – Maintenance

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
• Ensure smooth functioning of injection molding machines, production equipment, utilities, and associated systems.
• Monitor machine performance and minimize downtime through effective maintenance planning.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and engineers and allocate daily tasks.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, checklists, and breakdown reports.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and other departments for maintenance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and applicable quality management system requirements.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with the Store and Purchase departments.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, calibration coordination, and validation activities as applicable.
• Identify recurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper implementation of 5S and workplace safety practices.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Required Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Experience with injection molding machines and industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical panels, motors, drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Team handling and maintenance planning skills.
• Familiarity with maintenance documentation, spare parts management, and safety procedures.
