Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations within the kitchen and dining areas.
• Supervise and train staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all food production areas.
• Support bartending activities, including drink preparation and customer service.
• Manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock of supplies.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for excellent service at all times.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
• Assist in scheduling staff shifts to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food production processes.
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
• Familiarity with bartending practices is an advantage.
• Understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
• Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
