Assistant Manager, Continuous Improvement & Compliance

To drive internal audit, continuous improvement and compliance initiatives across the Group, ensuring effective process governance, operational efficiency and adherence to policies, procedures and QSHET requirements.

Job Description:

1. Internal Audit & Compliance

• Plan, coordinate and conduct internal audits to assess compliance with established policies, procedures and requirements.
• Monitor compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, internal policy and QSHET requirements.
• Monitor and follow up on audit findings and corrective actions to ensure timely closure.

2. Continuous Improvement & Process Governance

• Review, streamline and standardise business and procurement processes across the Group.
• Identify process gaps, risks and improvement opportunities and recommend appropriate improvement initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

3. Policy & QSHET Governance

• Develop, review and align Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Guidelines across the Group.
• Support the administration and implementation of QSHET requirements.
• Facilitate awareness and training on policies, internal controls, compliance and continuous improvement practices.

4. Reporting & Operational Support

• Prepare and present internal audit, compliance and continuous improvement reports to Management.
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of tender documentation, where required.
• Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned by the Director, Operations.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Quality Management, Operations Management, or related discipline.
• Certification in Internal Auditing, ISO Management Systems, Quality Management or Continuous Improvement would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant working experience in internal audit, compliance or related functions, with exposure to coordinating cross-functional initiatives or audits.

Special skills in:

• Proficient in audit planning, identifying control gaps, documenting findings and monitoring corrective actions.
• Working knowledge of applicable QSHET requirements and relevant ISO management systems, particularly where these form part of the Group’s compliance framework.
