Assistant Manager – Contracts (Railway)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Contracts with 15-25 years of experience in Contracts & Commercial Management, preferably in Railway Electrification, Railways, Power, or EPC Infrastructure Projects . The candidate will manage contractual activities, claims, commercial negotiations, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage client and subcontractor contracts for Railway Electrification and EPC projects.
• Review contractual terms, conditions, obligations, and commercial requirements.
• Handle contract administration, claims, variations, change orders, and Extension of Time (EOT).
• Prepare contractual correspondence, notices, and claim-related documentation.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, procurement, finance, and legal teams.
• Support contract negotiations, subcontract finalization, and commercial settlements.
• Identify contractual risks and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
• Maintain contract documentation and support dispute resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Commerce, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in Contracts & Commercial Management.
• Experience in Railway Electrification, Railways, Power, or EPC Infrastructure Projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, claims, EOT, and variation management.
• Experience in subcontract management, commercial negotiations, and risk mitigation.
• Strong communication, documentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
