Assistant Manager - Data Center (Mashreq Global Network Pakistan)

Key Responsibilities:

Job Scheduling & Automation

• Administer and support enterprise job scheduling platforms such as Control-M, Autosys, TWS, and Cron.
• Monitor and manage daily batch processing activities and critical job workflows.
• Design, implement, and maintain operational automation solutions.
• Ensure automated processes include robust exception handling and controlled rerun capabilities.

Managed File Transfer (MFT)

• Administer and support Managed File Transfer solutions.
• Analyze application requirements for secure file movement and implement appropriate MFT solutions.
• Conduct end-to-end testing and ensure all required controls and security standards are maintained.

Production Support & Monitoring

• Monitor enterprise applications, batch jobs, and infrastructure alerts.
• Perform pre- and post-implementation validation activities for production deployments.
• Support approved production changes across infrastructure and application platforms.
• Ensure high availability of production services across primary and disaster recovery sites.

Incident & Problem Management

• Investigate, escalate, document, and track production incidents through resolution.
• Conduct impact analysis and provide prompt reporting of production issues.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, vendor, and business teams for issue resolution.
• Manage service tickets and ensure adherence to SLA commitments.

Business Continuity & Governance

• Support disaster recovery and business continuity testing activities.
• Maintain operational procedures, runbooks, and technical documentation.
• Ensure adherence to audit, compliance, and operational risk requirements.
• Follow ITIL-based Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience

• 7–10 years of experience in:
• Datacenter Operations
• Production Support
• Batch Job Scheduling Administration
• Workload Automation
• Enterprise Operations Support

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with:
• Control-M
• Autosys
• IBM Workload Scheduler (TWS)
• Cron
• Managed File Transfer (MFT) administration.
• Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
• Shell Scripting, Python, or PowerShell.
• SQL and database fundamentals.
• Application dependency and workflow management.
• Enterprise monitoring and alert management tools.

Functional Knowledge

• ITIL Framework (Incident & Change Management).
• Production deployment practices.
• High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.
• Banking and Financial Services technology operations (preferred).
