Assistant Manager - Data Governance/Management

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee multiple operation support teams/groups for a range of data/content management activities.
2. Ensure team members are compliant when conducting data/information collection through thorough knowledge of guidelines, policies and research tools.
3. Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity through cross collaboration and Agile methodology.
4. Manage the performance review process, Career guidance and talent development.
5. Leverage emerging technologies (e.g., Python, SQL, Power BI, GenAI, PYSPARK) to enhance data processing and reporting capabilities.
6. Implement quality control measures to ensure deliverables meet established standards and stakeholder expectations.
7. Drives data quality and governance through proactive issue resolution, diligent monitoring of data lineage and rules, Metadata management and collaborative engagement with stakeholders to implement efficient solutions- Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK framework for data management, SIX SIGMA, RCA techniques etc.
8. Nice to have: Experience with data cataloging tools (such as Collibra, Alation, Azure Data Catalog), knowledge of data cataloging concepts, and awareness of the importance of capturing data lineage.
9. Nice to have: Knowledge of semantic technologies (such as RDF, RDFS, OWL, and SPARQL) which are foundational for building Ontologies

Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree preferably in finance or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in data operations, analytics, or finance, with at least 1 years in a managerial role.
3. Strong understanding of financial principles and data management practices.
4. Proficient in automation tools and technologies specifically SQL.
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
7. Implement quality control measures to ensure deliverables meet established standards and stakeholder expectations.
