Assistant Manager Demand Planning

Key Responsibilities:

Demand Planning

Analyze historical sales trends, market demand, and customer forecasts.

Prepare monthly and quarterly demand forecasts.

Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Key Account teams to understand future requirements.

Monitor forecast accuracy and implement improvements.

2. Supply Planning

Develop production and supply plans aligned with demand forecasts.

Coordinate with manufacturing plants to ensure adequate production capacity.

Balance inventory levels while minimizing stock-outs and excess stock.

Plan inter-plant and warehouse stock transfers.
3. Inventory Management

Maintain optimal inventory levels for raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.

Monitor slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.

Ensure adherence to inventory targets and working capital objectives.

4. Procurement & Raw Material Coordination

Work closely with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials.

Track supplier performance and delivery schedules.

Identify potential supply risks and develop contingency plans.

5. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

Participate in monthly S&OP meetings.

Reconcile demand, supply, inventory, and capacity constraints.

Present planning recommendations to management.

6. Customer Service & Order Fulfilment

Monitor order fulfilment performance.

Coordinate with logistics and customer service teams to ensure on-time deliveries.

Resolve supply shortages and allocation issues.

8. Risk Management

Identify supply chain disruptions affecting production or customer deliveries.

Prepare mitigation plans for raw material shortages, transportation delays, or plant shutdowns.

Support business continuity planning.
