Assistant Manager – Facilities, EHS & Security (Distribution Center)

About the role

The Assistant Manager, DC EHS is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, secure, and efficient operation of the Distribution Center through effective coordination, governance, and oversight of facilities management, safety, security, and environmental programs. The role focuses on policy implementation, regulatory compliance, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement, working closely with internal departments and accredited third-party service providers to maintain a safe, secure, compliant, and sustainable workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Manage preventive maintenance schedules for equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Oversee building projects, renovations, and refurbishments from planning through completion
• Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance with established standards and address identified deficiencies
• Liaise with vendors and contractors to ensure quality and timely completion of projects
• Lead the implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program in coordination with the OSH Committee
• Develop, update, and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance with DOLE, BFP, and other relevant regulatory bodies
• Prepare and submit required quarterly safety and health performance reports
• Facilitate emergency preparedness planning and conduct regular fire, earthquake, and evacuation drills
• Coordinate with IALP and 3PL security service providers to ensure compliance with security standards and service level agreements

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities, safety, security, or environmental management, preferably within a Distribution Center or logistics environment
• Strong knowledge of OSH, environmental regulations, and facility management best practices
• Ability to effectively manage projects, vendors, and budgets
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with safety and security systems is an advantage
