Assistant Manager - FCU Operation and Analytics

Objective

The Assistant Manager – FCU Operations & Analytics will be responsible for supporting the Fraud Control Unit through operational management, data analysis, risk detection, and process improvement initiatives. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, coordination with cross-functional teams, and an understanding of fraud detection mechanisms in the housing finance domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of FCU operations, including field investigations, application verification, and risk-based transaction monitoring.
• Analyze loan applications, customer profiles, and transaction data to identify red flags and fraud indicators.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and MIS for fraud trends, alerts, and investigation status.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Credit, Risk, Legal, Collections, Branches) and external agencies for investigation closures.
• Use data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI) to derive actionable insights for fraud prevention.
• Maintain detailed documentation of fraud cases and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the automation and enhancement of FCU processes and controls.
• Support in periodic audits and reviews of fraud-related activities.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in fraud control, risk management, or analytics, preferably in housing finance or banking.
• Experience with fraud analytics and investigation tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of fraud detection techniques in the financial services domain.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and basic SQL; familiarity with analytical tools like SAS, R, or Python is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management.
