PURPOSE
To manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, reporting, and compliance, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and adherence to company policies. This role supports strategic decision-making by providing timely financial insights, assisting in budgeting and cost control, and safeguarding the organization s financial health for the unit.

KEY ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Finance Manager | Sr Finance Manager
Reporting Roles: Finance Executives, Supervisor, Associates
Interacts with:
External: Vendors, Banks, Auditors, Statutory Authorities, Consultants, Service Providers
Internal: Finance Team, Procurement Team, Department Heads, Store & Receiving Teams, HR, Senior Management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive Operational Excellence
Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Oversee reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor statements, and general ledger entries.
Implement financial process improvements for better efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Applied Learning
Keep updated with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
Train finance team members on new systems, compliance policies, and internal controls.
Review financial workflows regularly to recommend process optimization.

People Management
Guide junior finance staff in day-to-day accounting tasks and problem resolution.
Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Oversee performance appraisals and recommend development plans for team members.

Business & Financial Acumen
Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Monitor cash flow, accounts aging, and payment cycles to optimize working capital.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for management review.

Leadership
Act as a key finance contact for cross-departmental projects and initiatives.
Support negotiations with vendors on payment terms and financial arrangements.
Represent finance in operational meetings, providing insights on cost efficiency.

Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
Oversee proper documentation and retention of financial records.
Support external and internal audits with complete and accurate information.

Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities
Maintain safe working practices in finance operations and document handling.
Ensure secure handling of sensitive financial data and physical records.
Promote awareness of fraud prevention and ethical practices.
Report and address any incidents related to workplace safety or data security.
