Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Assistant Manager – General Ledger (GL) located in Chennai location.

Reports to the Senior Manager, and the role involves,

What a typical day looks like:

• Lead a team of 10-15 accountants along with Leads towards driving results.
• Strong experience in independently managing the Month-End Close (MEC) process.
• Hands-on expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliations, including analysis and resolution of reconciling items.
• Ability to effectively present and explain financial results, reconciliations, and variances to Controllers, RFDs, and RVPs.
• Proficient in working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Sound understanding of General Ledger accounting, accruals, provisions, and financial controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Educate the team members on finance updates & accounting policies through classroom sessions
• Conversant with SOX compliances and checks – Monitor SOX checks for a site & to report them
• Drive & lead projects at department level
• Experience in driving process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires a B. Com / B.C. S / M. Com / MBA /BBA/ BBM, any other commerce and Accounts Stream degrees.
• Typically requires 8+ years of related experience and minimum 4 yrs of People Management Experience.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting, accruals, provisions, and financial controls.
• Good Verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Night shifts (5pm - 2am / 7pm -4am)
