Assistant Manager, Human Resource (Payroll)

[What the role is]

Responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of payroll administration managed by the outsourced payroll team, ensuring that all employees receive timely and accurate compensation. This role also encompasses post-payroll follow-up activities after each pay run, as well as supporting the organisation's annual manpower budgeting exercise.

[What you will be working on]

The areas of responsibility include:

• Managing the outsource payroll team in the monthly payroll operations, which includes sampling to verify the accuracy of payments
• Managing & reviewing all payroll processes
• Handling all payroll matters, eg reconciliation, cost centre charging, staff cost recovery etc
• Generating various payroll reports for monthly reporting, audits, insurance, surveys, policy reviews, etc
• Preparing budget assumptions and templates for the annual manpower budget exercise.
• Analysing budget variances and providing forecast of manpower budget utilisation.

[What we are looking for]

Ideally you should:

• Have a degree in human resource management or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.  Experience in handling payroll on Workday and Prosoft has advantage.
• Be analytical, meticulous and numerical, and be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Be self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

This is a 2 year contract position.
