Temporary Internal Auditor - 6 Month Contract

I’m recruiting for an experienced Internal Auditor to join a leading organisation within the banking sector.

📍 Location: London

⏳ Duration: 6 months

💼 Level: Assistant Manager / Manager

📄 Contract: Temporary

💷 Day Rate: £400 per day

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver risk-based internal audits across business and support functions.
• Assess internal controls, governance and risk management frameworks.
• Conduct risk assessments and ongoing control monitoring.
• Prepare audit reports, present findings and recommend improvements.
• Monitor management actions and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Support regulatory compliance with FCA/PRA requirements.
• Review co-sourced audit work and support junior team members.

Key Requirements:

• 7–10 years’ experience in UK financial services internal audit.
• ACA, ACCA or CIA qualification.
• Strong knowledge of banking, risk management and internal controls.
• Experience leading complex audit engagements.
• Corporate/Wholesale banking experience would be advantageous.
