Assistant Manager IT Infrastructure

We are currently hiring for a career opportunity with one of our esteemed clients based in Ghana for the position of Assistant Manager / Executive IT Infrastructure.

Position Details:

• Location: West Africa
• Designation - Assistant Manager / Executive – IT Infrastructure
• Experience: 4–7 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure management, LAN/WAN administration, server management, system maintenance, and hardware troubleshooting.

Job Purpose

1.Network & System Administration

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless network infrastructure across factory and administrative office facilities.
• Administer Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policies.
• Ensure high availability, uptime, and optimal latency across all systems, enterprise storage, and databases.

2. Hardware & Infrastructure Maintenance

• Perform regular diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and hardware troubleshooting on servers, workstations, switches, routers, and peripheral equipment.
• Supervise network cabling, rack configurations, server rooms, UPS backups, and plant floor IT equipment.
• Manage inventory, tracking, and lifecycle deployment of all IT assets and industrial devices.

3. Cybersecurity, Backups & Disaster Recovery

• Enforce system security policies, endpoint detection/antivirus protection, firewall configurations, and access rights management.
• Implement and audit regular data backups, disaster recovery protocols, and system restoration processes.
• Monitor network traffic and server logs for security vulnerabilities or performance bottlenecks.

4. Manufacturing Support & Operations

• Provide technical assistance and system stability for production floor machines, digital scales, barcode scanners, and ERP/production software integrations.
• Ensure seamless uptime and connectivity between plant operations, warehouses, and headquarters.

5. Vendor Management & IT Support

• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to internal users, ensuring rapid resolution of hardware and software incidents.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors, internet service providers (ISPs), and telecom carriers for prompt issue resolution and AMC renewals.
