Assistant Manager - IT Procurement

• Oversees the daily activities of the technology purchasing function; reviews technology purchasing decisions, orders, and vendor contracts.
• Assists with the ordering of materials and supplies from vendors.
• Research, interviews, and negotiates with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications; creates purchase orders for the acquisition of materials and performs related administrative tasks
• Coordinates for product support and warranties, leasing, maintenance, and software contracts, as well as hardware purchases, and license information
• Maintains vendor due diligence information and contract data
• Works with IT Helpdesk to maintain repository of enterprise software licenses.
• Identify future opportunities for savings.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 2 -3 years working experience in IT Procurement
• Experience with software licensing and volume purchasing agreements for the major enterprise system software suppliers (e.g., IBM, HP, Microsoft...)
• Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement management and vendor management.
• Certification in Software License Management is a plus.
