Assistant Manager, Learning & Development (L&D)

Our client is a sizable organisation within a Hong Kong-listed group. They are looking for an experienced Learning & Development professional to deliver employee training and manage talent development initiatives.

This role offers a broad scope across learning design, facilitation, programme management and evaluation, working closely with internal stakeholders and external specialists.

Your Responsibilities

• Identify learning priorities with business stakeholders and develop training that addresses employee and organisational needs.
• Design workshop content, learning materials and activities, and personally facilitate training sessions.
• Manage structured talent development programmes, including participant recruitment, selection and ongoing coordination.
• Maintain programme records, track development milestones and follow up with participants and relevant stakeholders.
• Identify suitable external trainers and evaluate proposals against learning objectives and budget.
• Review training feedback and results, turning findings into practical programme improvements.
• Monitor training expenditure and prepare management reports on learning activities and effectiveness.
• Support initiatives that encourage knowledge sharing and continuous learning across the organisation.

What We Are Looking For

• A degree in Human Resources, Training & Development, Organisational Behaviour or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience, including experience within a sizable organisation.
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering training, alongside managing employee or talent development programmes.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage different audiences.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
• An organised, proactive approach, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Good written and spoken English and Chinese, plus proficiency in MS Office and Chinese word processing.
• Experience administering learning management systems or e-learning platforms would be an advantage.
• Certification and practical experience in psychometric assessment tools would also be an advantage.
