Assistant Manager- Legal(A30611)

Responsibilities:

• Managing cases, disputes, and consumer matters- planning case strategies, monitoring the progress of outstanding litigation, and liaising with external counsel, regulatory authorities and mediation centres to manage the litigation portfolio.
• Drafting and reviewing legal notices and ensuring timely responses to the complaints/grievances escalated with regard to consumers.
• Briefing and coordinating with external counsel with respect to matters before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums/ law enforcement/public/government agencies.
• Responding to requests for information from government and law enforcement agencies.
• Liaising with government, law enforcement and regulatory authorities as and when required on litigation or other regulatory matters.
• Prioritizing and managing matters in a cost effective manner to get desired results with strategic planning and with the help of external counsel where required.
• Monitoring and maintaining MIS on litigations and disputes regularly and reporting to the senior management and auditors on the status, trend, strategy and risk exposure.
• Drafting and reviewing a host of agreements including master service agreements, repair services agreements, employment agreements and other commercial agreements.
• Advising the business teams on strategizing and resolving legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, potential disputes, and addressing any government enquiries.
• Providing strategic and practical legal advice to the business teams of the company as and when required. Ability to break down complex legal issues for the business and commercial teams to understand the associated risks and take informed, risk aware decisions.

Requirements:

• L.L.B from a recognized university in India.
• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in litigation either as an in-house legal counsel or in a reputed Law firm.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
