Assistant Manager- Maintenance

Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring maximum uptime, reliability, and performance of printing presses and associated equipment through effective preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure maximum availability of printing presses by minimizing breakdowns and machine downtime.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation-related issues.
• Support Production in maintaining print quality, registration accuracy, and consistent machine performance.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs such as machine uptime, MTBF, MTTR, and breakdown hours.
• Manage critical spare parts, inventory levels, and maintenance-related procurement.
• Control maintenance costs and support annual engineering budget planning.
• Maintain detailed records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, repairs, spares, and equipment history.
• Ensure machine safety guards, emergency stops, interlocks, LOTO, and other HSE requirements are maintained.
• Lead, train, and supervise maintenance technicians and ensure adherence to safety and maintenance practices.
• Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and service providers for technical support and equipment maintenance.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability, productivity, and efficiency.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in offset printing, packaging, or converting industry.
• Experience in Offset Printing maintenance will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of preventive/breakdown maintenance, RCA, PLC/VFD, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and maintenance documentation.
