Assistant Manager / Manager, Financial Reporting

• Financial Reporting and Month-End Closing:

1. Prepare and coordinate management reports for internal review and decision-making.
2. Prepare and submit Insurance Authority returns accurately and on time.
3. Support the preparation of the annual audited financial report and coordinate with external auditors as required.
4. Lead the month-end closing process, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analyses.

• Finance Activities in the Policy Administration System:

1. Oversee the reconciliation and settlement of policy data to the finance system.
2. Perform user acceptance testing for new product posting rules related to finance.
3. Work with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Process Improvement:

1. Identify opportunities to improve and automate finance operations processes.
2. Apply best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in auditing or accounting, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Good knowledge of treasury management, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and expense payment processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
