Assistant Manager / Manager, Planning Engineer

About The Role

Gadang Group of Companies' is seeking a talented Assistant Manager / Manager, Planning Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Johor Bahru, Johor. In this important role, you will be responsible for providing strategic planning and scheduling expertise to support the successful delivery of the company's construction projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard planning software.
• Monitor and track project progress, identifying and mitigating any potential delays or issues.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, site teams and other stakeholders to optimise planning and scheduling.
• Provide regular progress updates and detailed reporting to senior management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance planning efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• 8+ years' experience as a Planning Engineer or Senior Planning Engineer, ideally within the construction industry.

• Proficient in using project management software such as Primavera P6

• Strong technical understanding of construction methods, processes and project lifecycle.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive problem-solving approach.

• Willing to work at RTS Project in Johor Bahru. Working days are Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
